Hétérogénéité métabolique des gliomes : apport de la spectroscopie RMN HRMAS

Abstract : Metabolomics by HRMAS NMR spectroscopy allows working directly on intact heterogeneous biological tissues; it identifies and quantifies many metabolites with an excellent sensitivity. We have used this method to study the heterogeneity of glioma metabolism and related it to molecular biology and tumoral prognosis. Different prognostic biomarkers have thus been identified. These biomarkers show the preferred metabolic pathways used by gliomas and may become new therapeutic targets. In addition, we have developed tools for the analysis of metabolic pathways using 13C-labelled molecular probes on cell cultures and xenograft models with a view to their application in medicine.
