Conduites alimentaires perturbées des jeunes. Entre facteurs sociaux et détresse psychologique

Abstract : Eating disorders point to a relation to food that has become pathological through over- and/or under eating, or in its forms of representation. The questions analyzed bear on episodes of frenzied eating, forcing oneself to vomit, eating in secret, and dreading to start eating for fear of being unable to stop. These disorders occur mainly during adolescence and among women. Thus, in spite of attention in the media, they concern only a small proportion of the young and did not increase between 2005 and 2010. Social factors prove important in the four disorders studied, but their impact appears less severe than that of psychological distress.
