Usage d’internet : les jeunes, acteurs de leur santé ?

Abstract : In 2010 globally, 45% of those aged 15–30, mainly women, used the Internet for health issues, compared with one third of the population as a whole. 15% say their way of looking after their health has changed because of the Internet, and 5% say it has an impact on the frequency of consultations, proportions higher than those among the 15–75 age group. Nearly 80% of young people who have used it judge the information gathered on the Internet most often credible. Those not having resorted to it explain that they feel sufficiently informed otherwise (75%), that it is better to see a doctor (74%) and that they mistrust health information on the Internet (67%).
