Sas Concas Oniferi (Nuoro), Tomba Palas de Concas: i picchi da scavo

Abstract : The technological analysis is an essential step in the study of the macro-lithic tools from excavation, as it allows to identify the various types of macro-tracks present on the finds, from the traces of processing to the traces of use. The corpus of Palas de Concas consists of eight peaks. The recognizable morphologies are different and indicate different uses as well as an intervention of the instruments at different times of the tomb excavation chaine operatoire. For the creation of 3D models of the excavation peaks a software will be used to identify the homologous pixels present in the different images, generating a cloud of points: each point contains the spatial information, XYZ, and the color coordinates, RGB. Through the triangulation of the points, the mesh is generated, the actual model, to which a photorealistic HDR texture can be applied. Finally, from the digital model it is possible to automatically obtain views and sections characterized by great metric accuracy.
