Welcome in the RIATE collection

About this collection

This collection references all the publications to which RIATE members have contributed. It brings together work from projects (reports, expertises) and scientific communications (papers, conference proceeding) around the laboratory's expertise areas : geomatics, cartography, territorial observation, data harmonisation, spatial analysis and open science. This collection thus gives a good overview of the past and present fields of investigation carried out by the RIATE members.

About RIATE

The Réseau Interdisciplinaire pour l'Aménagement, l'observation et la cohésion des Territoires Européens (Interdisciplinary Network for spatial planning, observation and cohesion of European territories) is a joint research and services unit (UAR) from the CNRS and Université Paris Cité. Its purpose consists in participating in research and engineering work on European spatial planning, particularly in the field of geographic information engineering. In an open science approach, RIATE's missions revolve around the development and dissemination of free and open-source methods and tools for territorial analysis: development of tools and software, geovisualisation, expertise on scientific protocols for collecting, processing and representing geographic information. RIATE disseminates its knowledge through tools and librairies (R, JavaScript) and applies them in national (ANR) or international (Horizon Europe, ESPON, European Parliament, etc.) projects, training actions (thematic schools) and scientific collaborations in the networks in which it participates.
