LABORATORY
G-SCOP is a multidisciplinary laboratory meeting the scientific challenges of design, management and optimization of products, production and service systems.The research covers the entire product or product/service life cycle, from its creation to its end of life, through the phases of design, production, distribution, use and recycling, reuse or destruction. Our research addresses not only manufacturing industries, but also the service sector such as healthcare systems, energy management and usage, etc.
In this area, two major scientific issues of the forthcoming years are
• Achieving the transition to digital production and design systems
• Developing the human/society centred production and design systems
G-SCOP tackles these challenges through research in Operations Management and Integrated Product Design, supported by a transverse expertise in Industrial Information Systems and Optimization Methods.
